About Platinum Driving Academy

Where Students Come First

Platinum Driving Academy offers road testing, driver training and behind the wheel instruction for teenagers and adults.  We provide pick up and drop off services as well as hours around your schedule. 

The most important goal of our company is to produce confident and safe drivers. Our patient and understanding instructors are dedicated to providing you with the necessary skills to pass the New Jersey drivers test or get out on the highway. 
At Platinum Driving Academy we realize that learning to drive is one of the most important decisions you will make. We customize our training to fit each student’s needs. Driving requires confidence, safety, and complete awareness of your surroundings.  

Services

16 year old program (6 hours)                                                                              $450.00                                                   

 

  You will need to begin permit process: 

 

  • Completed green card (provided by driving school) 

  • Blue card or email from school for completing written exam 

  • Original birth certificate/passport 

  • Copy of social security card 

  • Eye exam (provided by driving school)

  You will learn: 

  • Starting the car 

  • Seat, mirror, and seat belt adjustment 

  • When to use lights, indicators, and wipers  

  • Proper hand position for driving  

  • Pulling out on road from parking  

  • Smooth accelerating and stopping 

  • Parallel parking (between cones) 

  • K-turn/ Three Point Turn 

  • Driving in reverse 

  • Hand over hand turning 

  • What the signs and signals mean 

  • Intersection (right of way) 

 

At the conclusion of your 6 hours, you will receive a validated permit and a certificate of completion for your insurance company. With this permit you will be able to drive with a licensed driver of at least 3 years.
